ISARIA – Now also a Sky partner
The first Sky Shop – an ISARIA design – was a complete new departure for the media company. We were able to win over Sky Deutschland with our concept in late 2014, having already developed the mid-sized Sky Lab floorstand in late 2012.
Turning the rented premises into an arresting retail space while keeping to brand design criteria meant having to deal with certain constraints. For example, an inconspicuous solution was required for an obtrusive load-bearing pillar, plus a discreet security concept had to be developed. ISARIA managed to find an elegant solution in both cases. The pillar was integrated into the overall scheme to good effect.
Surrounded by the customer advisor workplace and fitted with three backlit cubes for displaying visuals that can be exchanged to reflect the current raft of products, it blends in harmoniously with the overall design. Underscored by Sky logos, the shop makes a striking statement that effectively visualises the brand. In combination with the open-plan concept, the effect attracts both attention and consumer traffic.
The colour scheme lends the shop a distinct profile while marking the entry into the Sky world. At the same time it accentuates the lettering for a clear presentation of the various thematic zones. A light strip guides consumers to an overview of Sky‘s content services on a large screen and then leads over to a wall where a laptop, mobile phone, iPad and smart TV encourage them to try out innovative multi-devices services like Sky Go for themselves.
The customer advisory corner with its high stools provides a setting for dialogue-oriented customer counselling and successful sales. As a workplace it is characterised by a high degree of functionality and features an integrated printer and sufficient storage space for important documents. Night-time security is guaranteed by mobile glass panel walls that disappear from sight during the day.
