In 2016 ISARIA was approached by the Serviceplan Design agency and its longstanding customer Ravensburger with an assignment, namely to bring the existing design for Ravensburger‘s new shop fixtures to the manufacturing stage in close collaboration with the client. We engineered the fixtures appropriately in readying them for volume production, taking the requirements of quality, durability and modularity into particular consideration. The results stand out for their adaptability, quality, robustness and refreshing appearance.
Modularity was required to make sure the shop fixtures could be used in the wide range of sales outlets entailed by Ravensburger‘s broad product portfolio. As such the shop-in-shop elements needed to accommodate scenarios as varied as station bookstores, supermarkets, department stores, and other types of stockists.
Ravensburger‘s extensive portfolio also meant the POS fixtures had to be capable of displaying articles as diverse as baby toys, colouring books, Tiptoi pens, board games of various types and jigsaw puzzles involving 40,320 pieces. The elements defined for this purpose do the job of presenting all such articles in optimum fashion.
The fixtures include interior displays such as gondolas, respective endcaps and wall display shelving systems, all equipped with vertically adjustable shelves. Individual solutions for on-site pillars round off the overall concept. The result is a characteristic design coupled with a clarity that clearly differentiates Ravensburger from other manufacturers in the field. Customers immediately recognise that displayed products are Ravensburger ones and can find their way round easily, thanks to textile graphics that clearly zone the shop area into sections as varied as jigsaw puzzles, Tiptoi learning products and children‘s games, to name a few examples. The graphics elements can also be easily exchanged for shop reorganisation purposes or to signalise new products. Apart from taking the design from concept to production, ISARIA‘s assignment also involved implementation planning as well as production of the fixtures and their transportation and installation.
Three shop-in-shop systems were successfully installed at the roll-out stage, garnering a very positive response on the market, and future projects have already been initiated. ISARIA will continue to uphold the fundamental principle behind the new Ravensburger shop-in-shop concept to ensure its sustained success.
